With no offense, I am writing this article to motivate young generations. Sports have always been a source of inspiration, symbolizing determination, hard work, and the pursuit of excellence. Athletes are celebrated as heroes, and tournaments are revered as grand stages where talent meets glory. However, behind the glitz and glamour of these events lies a darker reality, one that is slowly eroding the true spirit of sports.

The Allure of Sponsorship: Money Talks

Sponsorship is a billion-dollar industry, and sports tournaments are among the most lucrative platforms for brands. In 2022 alone, global sponsorship spending was estimated to exceed $65 billion, with sports taking the lion’s share. Sponsors provide the much-needed funds to organize these grand events, pay athletes, and ensure global viewership.

However, not all that glitter is gold. The problem arises when the sponsors, whose products directly contradict the values of health and well-being, dominate the sporting world. Energy drinks, fast food, gambling companies, and alcohol brands often become the faces of these events.
